The HS-40 is the loudest production Acoustic Hailing Device in the world.  At 160 dB peak acoustic output, the HS-40 can issue voice commands well in excess of 2km and produce a warning deterrent tone of 135 dB out to almost 100 meters! Safe to the operator with basic ear protection, the acoustic level is reduced by 60 dB at 1 meter behind the device.
