Columbia City, IN – Ultra Electronics' has been awarded a contract to supply Hyperspike® HS-24 Acoustic Hailing Device's into Southeast Asia. This contract award is the result of an open procurement process in which several competing products were tested and evaluated. The Hyperspike® HS-24 was selected out of a number of competitive offerings based on superior technical performance and value to the end user. The HS-24 and other Hyperspike® products continue to gain market share around the world as end users recognize that the Hypespike® technology inherently provides increased performance and reliability. Scheduled to ship in February 2010, this large order includes the HS-24 system, mounting equipment and accessories.

Columbia City, IN - One of the strengths of Ultra Electronics USSI is to collaborate with other technology innovators to provide top of the line solutions to our armed forces. Among many examples is the latest group effort between Ultra Electronics USSI and Military Systems Group to provide the HyperSpike® HS-16 on a standard swing arm mount. Combining the two technologies allows the HS-16 to be integrated into systems that need agility and enhanced functionality to successfully perform combat actions.
Shown in the photos, the HS-16 is integrated into the 50 cal Crew Served Weapon mount using the standard double articulated swing arm. Currently used in Iran and Afghanistan, the swing arm mount is also deployed with the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, & Special Operations. The swing arm has a safety confirmation from Picatinny Arsonal (US Army). This nimble solution can also be used to mount the HyperSpike® HS-16 to vehicles, vessels, and stationary points that need to have the dexterity and alertness of a movable acoustic hailing device.
Smartly integrated onto the HS-16 is the laser dazzler by B.E. Myers and a high intensity Maxa Beam search light by Peak Beam Systems. In addition to these accessories, the HS-16 is designed to accept a variety of accessories which will ensure a large safety zone for military personnel. All in all, the customizable and agile HyperSpike® HS-16 will provide the ability to discern intent and provide warnings with clear unambiguous long range communication for any application. |

Columbia City, IN - On Wednesday, November 11th, Congressman Mark Souder (R - Indiana 3rd District), paid a visit to Ultra USSI to learn more about the company in Northeastern Indiana that has bucked the national trends by increasing its workforce from around 200 to nearly 400 in the last 12 months.

Nellis Air Force Base, NV - On Wednesday, October 21st, Ultra Electronics, along with many other vendors, had the opportunity to demonstrate equipment for the Joint Non- Lethal Weapons Directorate at Nellis Air Force Base just outside of Las Vegas Nevada. Ultra took advantage of this opportunity and successfully demonstrated the HS-Micro, the HS-16, the HS-24, the HS-40, and the MA-1 Mass Notification System. The event was a huge success for Ultra as they were able to demonstrate the loudest production Acoustic Hailing Device in the world, the HS-40, which is capable of over 160dB / re 20uP at 1 meter.

Ultra has recently, or will shortly be demonstrating its range of products in England, Japan, Canada, Ireland, and France. Fort Wayne, IN - Ultra Electronics demonstrated its innovative Hyperspike Mass Notification Acoustic System to Indiana University, Purdue University at Fort Wayne (IPFW), on July 24th in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The purpose of the demonstration was to let university officials experience the high fidelity audio that is produced by the Ultra Hyperspike Monolithic Array (MA) technology.
